COVID-19 Updates

We want to keep everyone updated on what we’re doing as a district to combat COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This page will be kept up to date with the latest information regarding COVID-19 and its effect on CCAISD. Click the title to go to our COVID-19 update page.

Pathways to Technology Early College High School

Culberson County-Allamore Independent School District (CCAISD) was awarded the competitive P-Tech and ICIA Planning Grant for 2019-2020. P-Tech stands for Pathways to Technology Early College High School, and the Texas Education Agency has approved our request to design a collegiate program that will prepare Van Horn students for STEM careers in local industry fields.

In-Person School Resumes 2/22/2021

We have received notice from the Town of Van Horn that we are no longer under a natural gas conservation effort.

In-person school will resume tomorrow, Monday February 22nd.

Remote Learning for 2/18 & 2/19

Due to the shortage of natural gas supply, CCAISD will be closing the building and all classes will move to remote learning for February 18th & 19th.

12-4-20 CCAISD Will Continue with Both Remote and Live Learning

We will teach live for 2 weeks and then Christmas break begins. We have amended the school calendar to add another week to the Christmas and New Year's holiday break. Staff will report back on 1-11-21 (Monday) and students will report back on 1-12-21 (Tuesday). This will give staff 9 days and students 10 days after the holidays to know if they have COVID-19 or are showing COVID-19 symptoms and not come into the building. Be safe, be healthy, be kind to someone today.

Remote Learning for 12-10 & 12-11

The main gas line for the school was damaged during construction. Due to this, we will be going to remote learning for tomorrow, December 10th and Friday, December 11th. During this time, no one is allowed in the building.
The location for the basketball game scheduled for Friday against Wink has moved to the County Boys and Girls Club Gym.

Back to School

By Monday, 9-28-20, we can safely open our school back to live on campus learning as well as remote learning. We want to thank everyone for the flexibility that is needed to safely operate our school. There is no doubt that having our students physically in the classroom provides the best learning opportunity for them.
