Class 1-A: J. J. Baca, RB/DB, Van Horn, is a big man in a small body (5-6, 145). A two-time all-district pick, he carried 13 times for 263 yards and two TDs (43, 58), caught a pair of scoring passes (34, 24), and returned a kickoff 45 yards in a 53-14 thumping of Marfa. A 3.15 GPA student, he's a member of the sprint relay team (third in the state), a member of the Student Council, and a blood drive organizer.
